It should tip the scale of €30,000 taking into consideration that a stock Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R costs almost €19,000. Also, it’s interesting to see what and if the bike will have any power enhancements. So, we’re curious to see how much Raptik’s Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R will weight after the motorcycle project is completed. All that was translated into a 168 kg superbike making 212 hp. That particular model was equipped with carbon fiber components and Yoshimura racing parts. Back in in 2018 Suzuki Italy unveiled the €30,000 GSX-R1000R Ryuyo machine which was a limited edition of just 20 units. It’s a track-only superbike and it’s not the first time we see carbon fiber fitted on a Gixxer. This is now the final version of this custom carbon fiber superbike as Raptik’s bike will be fitted with a Ceracarbon sprocket, a carbon inlet funnel, and a 520 drive chain which will reduce the total bike’s weight even more. All these goodies lowered the dry weight with 25 kg compared to the stock version. Akrapovic fitted a complete exhaust system. Now, the Gixxer features carbon fiber for the bodywork including the fairings, frame protection, ram air channel, swingarm protection, fuel cap and front-wheel cover. Gone are the stock fairings, bodywork and cast wheels. Thanks to the carbon fiber treatment, the superbike’s dry weight sits at 175 kg compared to the 202 kg of the stock version (ABS included – 200 kg without the ABS system). The base model of this project is a 2017 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R (L7). It features special parts made from carbon fiber such as fairings, frame protection, ram air channel and swingarm protection to name a few. The result is a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R manufactured almost entirely from carbon fiber. Raptik is a Swiss photographer and track day rider who asked the motorcycle tuning company No Limit Tuning to build a custom motorcycle for him.
